DIMENSIONS: 18 fret and 24" from the nut to the bridge. The original case comes with it but its in pretty rough condition. I was able to get one pickup to work but I am sure it will need electrical repair and possibly other repair therefore I am selling it as-is. The strap peg at the end of the body is broken off. There are some areas where the paint has chipped and the metal parts are corroded. This would be a great project! CONDITION: It is in fair to good condition. There is a handwritten number 0724 on the nut. more body cutaway body and 2 pickups with tone and volume. The guitar features 18 frets with dot markers. If you're after a good example of a 'Top Twenty' or just something a bit different in the six string department with bags of character, charm and history in extremely good condition for the price of an anonymous Strat copy this might be for you! Feel free to ask questions: collection only from east of Oxford (just off M40 J8).Condition Details- 38" long guitar. The action is slightly on the high side and there's a very slight choking on the higher strings around the 9th/10th fret: it could be a high fret, or a set up would probably address this but I've lived with it and it's not caused me a problem. The original vibrato arm and tuning pegs are present: a couple of the pegs are a little on the stiff side but still work as they should. The 'Top Twenty' headstock badge is also present and correct. There's also one on the back of the headstock for the 'Association of Musical Instrument Industries', whatever that was: I've never seen this on another 'Top Twenty'. It's surprisingly versatile sound-wise: does jangly and gritty very nicely, although perhaps not best suited to Metal! It has all the original badges and stickers (including the one where you might expect the truss rod to be on the headstock, which often seems to have disappeared on these). The metalwork is a little grimy, but only in hard-to-reach places: some of the screws have oxidised a bit too, but you might expect that given its age!Įverything works, with no scratchy pots or switches. There's also a small area of peeling lacquer on the headstock edge (photographed). There are of course some swirl marks and surface scratches, but you have to look pretty hard to see these. This guitar is in remarkable condition for a guitar of its age (uncertain, but probably at least 45 years old) and type, especially when 'Top Twenty's have a reputation for questionable build quality and perhaps not being 'pampered' as some other guitars might be. I'm parting with my Teisco/Woolworths 'Top Twenty': too many guitars I don't play!
